Comfort Above All

I’ve been a portrait photographer for over a decade, and the most cardinal rule I’ve learned is how your comfort impacts your portraits. You ever have a photographer look at you funny, tell you to do something awkward with your head or hands, and you can’t think anything other than “This feels stiff. I’m uncomfortable.”?

I’m the opposite of that.

We’ll begin by getting to know each other, then to start our time together, and throughout, I’ll be coaching you on your breathing. Yes, your breathing. We’ll do silly-sounding get-all-the-wiggles-out breathing work designed to help you fully let go of your anxieties, relax your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and fully relax into the moment.

Why? Because then your real joy and passion shine through. Then, you can smile comfortably and confidently. Then, you look like your most authentic self.

I know not 100% of life is smiles, though, so if you’re looking for a wider range of vibes in your portraits, I’ve got you. We’ll discuss all of that, and your unique vision before we get started.
